The path of truth may be long, but it always leads you to the right place

Describe a random encounter with a stranger that stuck out positively to you.

I once had a conversation with an elderly man at a bus stop on a rainy day. I had just missed my ride and was clearly frustrated. He looked at me, smiled gently, and said, “You won’t gain anything by being upset… be patient.” Something about that line stuck with me.

We talked for just 10 or 15 minutes—about life, about how time changes everything, and how loss teaches us more than success ever can. He told me he used to be a schoolteacher and always reminded his students, “The path of truth may be long, but it always leads you to the right place.”

I never saw him again, but somehow, that short conversation brought an unexpected sense of calm to my messy thoughts. It’s strange how a stranger can leave behind a lasting impact in such a short time.
