The Moment I Stayed Silent — And Still Regret It

Write about a time when you didn’t take action but wish you had. What would you do differently?

There was a time when I saw someone being unfairly blamed for something they didn’t do. I knew the truth. I knew I could’ve spoken up and made things right. But I didn’t.

I stayed silent. Maybe out of fear, maybe out of doubt — or maybe I convinced myself it wasn’t “my business.”
But deep down, I knew it was.

Days passed, and the moment faded. But the guilt? That stayed.

If I could go back, I would speak. Loudly. Clearly. Without fear.
Because sometimes, not doing anything hurts more than doing the wrong thing.

That day taught me that silence isn’t always neutral.
Sometimes, silence takes sides.
And next time, I promise I’ll choose better.
